On October 25th the Penacook Elementary School P.T.G. sponsored the annual Applefest celebration. A wonderful family activity, there were games, food and a penny raffle. The school’s Applefest celebration was an activity that supported the school’s sense of community. Hats off to the Parent/Teacher Group for the incredible efforts they put forth each year to organize this activity for the school community. 
The Penacook Historical Society held their second annual Old Fashion Halloween Parade and Fair. This is a very special community celebration, attempting to recreate the Halloween Parade and Fair as a community activity. Penacook was a close knit community that enjoyed community celebrations, relationships, involvement and community pride. The parade led its way to the Rolfe Homestead where prizes were awarded for the best costume. The event also included a pumpkin decorating contest, old fashioned games and food.
