Penacook Village Association October 13, 2008 9:00 a.m. Rolfe House 11 Penacook Street, Penacook, NH Attendees: Lynne Raleigh, Steve Shurtleff, Lois Bradley, Kathy Bush, Ralph Harwood, Peter Dodge, Dottie Dodge, Laura Guimont, Terri Culjat, Nik Coates of CNHRPC, Marge Goldman, Jack Shields, Jo Ann Shields, Rick Jacques, Brent Todd of Concord 20/20, Jennifer Kretovic of Concord 20/20 1. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS: 2. NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION: Nik spoke to the PVA about a Revitalization Project conducted in Pittsfield which resulted in a Community Economic Development Plan. CNHRPC would like to offer the same service to the PVA. Using information previous gathered in other studies and reports, CNHRPC would put together an Implementation Plan, ranking the various objectives the group would like to accomplish as well as time lines for completion. (In Pittsfield, one objective was to have wireless internet access downtown, which was accomplished in September.) The PVA would donate sweat equity and CNHRPC would seek funding from Concord 20/20 to cover expenses for data research, compilation, etc. The estimated time frame to completion of the Implementation Plan is approximately 6-weeks. Nik will return to the November meeting to follow up on questions from the members. 3. TANNERY UPDATE: Brent updated the group on behalf of Matt Walsh. The closing date for proposals was September 19th but all proposals must remain confidential as the City is still completing due diligence. Matt is hoping to discuss the proposals with the City Council in non-public session on November 10th. Any public information would come after this meeting however there are no guarantees on any dates of disclosure. 4. UPCOMING EVENTS:
5. TASK FORCE ASSIGNMENTS: a) ORGANIZATION COMMITTEE: Kathy Bush is till working to find an attorney to come speak to the group regarding non profit status as a 501(c) 3 or 501 (c)4. Nik Coates offered to assist Kathy in this effort. (In follow up, Attorney Steven Whitley of Baldwin and Callen will assist the PVA pro-bono thanks to Nik’s introduction.) b) MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE:

The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at Rolfe House. Meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m. Farmer’s Market Note: John Jordan owns the building and lawn area behind Citizens Bank, as well as the area adjacent to the park and parking lot. As long as liability issues can be worked out he would volunteer the site for the market if it meets with everyone's approval.
