The following are taken from local news sources and the City of Concord weekly memos.
CIP #35 - US ROUTE 3 CORRIDOR: Drainage installation continues between Penacook Place and Thirty Pines Car Wash, along with the relocation of fire hydrants. One-way traffic will be in effect during work hours. Removal of trees was completed along the southbound side of Fisherville Road, with minor traffic impacts. National Grid's gas main installation will continue through next week. Traffic will be down to one lane for a short pocket, which will move southbound as the work progresses. Work will commence in front of Irving Gas Station and head south to Bog Road.
CIP #17 – ABBOTT/MANOR/BOROUGH ROAD SIDEWALK PROJECT: Next week, the contractor will begin installing granite curbing from Welch Street eastward. Further grubbing and excavating is anticipated from Sorrell Drive east to Abbott Road.

From the 6/20 City Manager's Memo: Penacook Mill Demolition
Except for the removal of some wooden beams salvaged by the Contractor, all demolition activities are now complete. The project took eight weeks to finish. Barring final contract adjustments relating to change orders and credits, the cost of the project was $302,000. Staff is now shifting gears towards finalizing a "Request for Proposals" package in order to formally market the site to interested developers. This effort includes completion of real estate appraisals of the 4 Crescent and 35 East Street parcels to determine the market value of the site. Also, with guidance from City staff, a landscape architect is finishing up conceptual site plan renderings for these properties to clearly articulate the City's vision for the site, as well as spark the imagination of potential developers. Preliminarily, staff hopes to issue the RFP to interested developers in July. Responses will likely be due in September. With luck, City staff hopes to have a developer on board for the project by the end of the year.
