Mission
The Penacook Community Center is a non-profit multipurpose organization, established in 1948 with a mission of providing the citizens of Penacook and surrounding towns opportunities to promote, develop, and maintain social, educational and recreational activities

Description
The program is owned and opertaed by the Penacook Community Center, Inc., a private non-profit organization supported by the City of Concord, United Way, Towns of Boscawen and Webster, and private donations.

Programs
The Penacook Community Center serves the community through the following programs:

Seniors

  • Meals: weekly hot lunch, mystery lunch, pot luck dinners, holiday parties
  • Exercise:  aerobics, yoga, exercise equipment, Footsteps for Fitness, and wii bowling
  • Crafts: holiday crafts, stamping, quilting, painting
  • Games:
    • Bingo: Tuesdays at 10 AM. Cost $1.00
    • Shuffleboard: Fridays at 1 PM. Cost $1.00
    • Card parties: Friday at 7 PM. Cost $1.50
  • Trips: restaurants, theatre, casino, beach, museums, gardens, movies
  • Educational: seminars, workshops, weekly speakers
  • Red Hat chapter, "Hannah's Happy Hatters," open to all women 50 and older. For more information, call 753-9700, ext. 106.
Children & Teens
  • Childcare/Preschool Programs for ages 3-5 years (7AM - 5:30PM)
  • Kindercare for ages 5-6 years (7AM - 5:30PM)
  • Before and After School Care for ages 6-12 years (7AM - 8:30AM and 3PM - 5:30PM)
  • School Vacation Camps for ages 5-12 years (7AM - 5:30PM)
  • Summer Camp for ages 6-15 years and a 16 plus year program (7AM - 5:30PM)
  • Sports Teams, Counselors-in-training & Community Service
Adult Fitness
  • Aerobics & Volleyball

Membership

You must be a member at a cost of $35 a year to take part in classes and programs. Scholarships are available). All classes and programs are free, unless otherwise noted. For more information on membership, call senior director Gail Meade at 753-9700, ext. 106.
